View Full Version : Hillside Closed & Trailwork Sat. 6th

OMG, Hillside is now closed as of November 1st. It will reopen May 1st, weather pending. Dang this came up fast!!

Also, there will be trialwork Saturday November 6th at 9am to 1pm. Meet in the compost area. Bring your work gloves & shovel. We will haul fill into sections 1 &
3. Any questions let me know.

I have the OK to bring your bikes on trailwork day so if you missed the Hillside season come work this weekend and ride (for free I think)!

Sorry Ryan. I would of come up but with the weather screwing up the work at Wirth I have to work there this weekend. But I will have to try to make it up there, I don't like to ride an area till I have done trail work there.

We got a LOT of work done today. Two new reroutes in section 3. I think it's about a half mile of new trail!

It's about a third the way through right where you used to turn around a tree and go down hill into a gully. That was a fall line and had a big rut so it now zig zags down the hill with a burm at the top.

The other is just after that, once you get back to the top of the hill just after that downhill. It used to go almost strait down the hill, nother fall line, but now zig zags down. It's all nice and flowing.

Come try it out in the morning, group ride at 9am (http://www.morcmtb.org/forums/showthread.php?p=101007). More than likly the last ride of the year there. The trail is kinda closed but Kevin said they won't lock the gates until about Wednesday so it's ok to ride until then.

I rode on monday. I didn't know that the trail was closed. I sure appreciate the trail work and I'm already looking forward to seeing the new stuff pack in next year. Boy this season sure went fast. Here's to winter going even quicker!!!!!!!

Great job Ryan! Too bad I'll have to wait till next year to try the new reroutes!
