well, I've been kicked out a number of sk8 parks in my day, with the simple reason that I am on a Mountainbike...and I refuse to ride a BMX no offense I just can't do it! That is why I ask. I'll have to put it down on the calender count me in!!! :D Where is Monkey Village, I've never been there.

It's in Edina, where I live, and so is the skate park. If I am with, you won't have a problem at the skatepark. I don't think they will care anyway. One day I saw some freeriders there and no one cared. On guy just rode straight into the bowl without dropping in or anything......just a straight drop. Ouch....that looked like a hard landing. Like I said before, I like downsides.

if anybody wants to stop downtown st. paul to pick me up, i'm definately down to go chill at the monkey village. i've only been there once. i can pitch on gas money or whatever. let me know

ive tried twice to find the damn monkey village but to no avail i get nothing... i got down on the rail road tracks off of 70th st right by that gas station where the big ass full pipe is that the trains go through and i go north on the tracks..i havent gone past the turn though..

am i heading in the right direction for them?

hey shad. Hows the weather down there in edina. is the village gonna be a mudhole on saturday? Its raining ****ty downtown right now. I really hope to get to ride out there on saturday. It would be a damn shame if it gets called off.

I'm comin no matter what so, I'll be up for some urban or park for sure...I have some things that if they pan out could be pretty awesome for saturday...so lets hope the weather holds.

If the rain stops today, we might be okay. If it rains tomorrow or Saturday at all, Monkey Village will be too wet to ride.

If the Weather is good Saturday, Urban and Skatepark riding will still be on. We can just go the the park at noon or so instead of Monkey.

I'll keep you all posted.

I'm going no matter what probably, I can still ride urban in the rain, and I ain't pussin out!!! latest weather report windy(:cryin: ) with a thirty percent chance of rain...I'm more concerned with wind then rain, every one knows when the wind is high, keep the tires on the ground!!!

I think monkey village isn't happening I think it is starting at the Tricity skate park in Edina, I was told that arm and leg armor are required, so remember to bring those Dust.

Here is the scoop. We are all meeting at Monkey Village at 11:00 am and going from there. Even if we choose not to ride there, that's the meeting spot. Probably in the intersection near the tracks that lead to it. No reason to go down to the jumps unless we know we are going to ride there.

I talked to Troy and he plans of getting there early do see what it's like, but both of us agreed it will probably be too wet anyway, but it doesn't hurt to go look.

I will post a map once I make one.

Yeah it will probably be to wet, but looking at the forecast it looks to be a small chance of showers and the wind isn;t suppsed to be as bad so I see a uber good urban session and some sk8 riding in the near future!!!

Here is the location (the red rectangle). Exit on 70th and go West. Stay on 70th until you go over the bridge that goes over the tracks. There is a gas station and a little strip mall to the left after the bridge. Find a place to park or look for other riders.

As I watch the weather, it continues to change, now I see there is supposed to showers all day with winds over 20mph. I may have to eat my own words and bail out on this one...no DJs to wet, to windy to ride park on a big bike, to sketchy to huck in an urban environment with winds this high, damn damn damn...Shad I'll call ya tomorrow morning for the forecast but I don;t know if I am going to drive two hrs for crappy riding...:cryin: ...I was really hopin the weather would change but at this point it probably won't change much more...damn damn damn...

Yeah I'm more worried about the wind, makes things pretty sketchy on a big bike, if the winds are up, huckers stay down! and it is easy for you, I'm drivin 2 1/2 hours to ride, you are drivin, what 5 minutes...;)...so I'm a little leary of drivin all that way then gettin winded out. But we'll see...

Please still come! Please somebody bring me a pedal(s). I was scared i wouldn't get to ride tomorrow so i went on a lone urban on downtown st. paul.. made it to the river and my pedal fell off the spindel. BOOOOO! somebodys got my back right :D I was really hoping this weekend was gonna be the last good air session of the year. hope to see everyone out there despite conditions, I'm down.
