River Bottoms west is in great condition right now. Weeds aren't bad, mosquitos are non-existant, and the sand only adds to the fun. Hopefully it won't rain much today, although a little rain would probably help pack down the sand at this point.
I shared a raft ride with a local guy yesterday. He was out looking for his keys and we got to talking. He'd brought an "industrial magnet" out to 9 mile recently to try and fish his keys out. In the process he claims he brought up several bikes. I'd tend to believe the guy as I've almost gotten mine tangled up in one of the raft ropes many a time. He called the DNR to come take them away. Soooo ... if you know anyone who has lost a steel bike in 9 mile, they can probably give the DNR a call :scream: I'm pretty sure that 9 mile is on City of Bloomington land, so you shouldn't have to justify your actions ...
