River Bottoms Trail Work Saturday October 9th, 11 am

Trail work session #5.

We will continue working on the east end re-route on Saturday at 11 am. We are going to start laying out and constructing the boardwalk section. The bulk of the work is going to be hauling materials to the work site. If you can't help out for long, even 15 minutes of help carrying materials would be a great help.

Meet at the Parkers Picnic Campground at 5:30 pm, Monday October 4th. Bring gloves and a shovel if you have one. I suggest wearing boots since we are working near the stream. If you arrive late, go thru the gate on the east of the lot to the trail area, and find us by following the ribbon and cleared trail which starts part way down the big hill about 150 yards east of the picnic table.

Directions to the parking lot: Head south on Portland Ave until you are forced to turn right onto 104th street. Take an immediate left onto 5th Ave circle. Take the next left, on Columbus. The parking lot is onthe right side at the bottom of the hill. We will be working unless there is too much rain.

Correction - Delete the refeference to 5:30 PM on the 4th, but wear boots for working in the wet boardwalk area.

If you don't have time to work, go for a ride and give us 15 minutes to a half hour lugging material.
