Tahoe?

Anybody around here ever ridden in the Lake Tahoe area? I have invites from both an NMBP unit in the area and a USFS ranger, and I am seriously considering it. Of course, if I wait a couple months, the X-C skiing out there is great too!

I didn't actualy bike the trails around the lake but I did bike around the camp ground on the lake. Does that count? :crazy: It is cool out there, so awsome. I can't wait to get back there.

Biking: Go to Nevada side out of Incline Village. Locals will direct you. Awesome. Also, you could stop at Paco's bike&Ski shop in Truckee and they have a lot of good opinions. Nothing beats the east ridge of the lake, though.


Skiing: go to Royal Gorge (Gouge) for fabulous trails and exceptional scenery. Monster elevation changes, but you get to pay $20 or so to do it! They groom 350K of trail per day. Instructors and Trail managers are from Australia, etc..It is west of Truckee on Freeway (Soda Springs)

Coffee shop: Wild Cherries in Truckee. Locals and good.
