Does anyone know anything about this fork. It is apparently another fine QBP product (under the Winwood brand).
Speedgoat has them listed for sale, but there is no info on the Winwood web site.
Seems like a possible lower budget option for a 29er.

Ive known a few people with the carbon cx fork and they hold up pretty well, however if it was me i think id rather ride a marzocchi mx comp in the same price range, id trust that a lil more. But the carbon cx forks hold up so i assume the DeeDee would too.

...check the 29er page on MTBR. These forks are a bit flexy and somewhat sloppy - think 1996 Judy. I've checked one out on the KM of a guy at Erik's in SLP.
For the $ get the Zoke MX comp and have the air preload caps retrofitted as there are no x-heavy springs for the 29er fork. A compromise at best and a 5#+ "xc" fork.
You can get a WB1.0 from Larry Mettler for a very good price and with 32mm stanchions it is the stiffest available right now. I just ordered one for my KM.

Pat,
I would guess that Kurt will be riding his Single speed 29er this weekend which is built with one of the first winwood shocks. He will be out a homie so you should be able to track him down and get a ride and opinions. His frame is about your size, but he is a little lighter.

I won't be here this weekend, too bad, looks like the weather is going bad anyway.
Since I posted this I've decided to be happy with what I have for the moment (at least until next spring). We're spending too much money on home improvements these days.
Thanks for the info though.
