You could just buy new hubs and have your current rims laced to a disc ready hubs, If I were you though I would use this as an excuse to up-grade and get new rims too:D  , I've laced up new hubs to old rims, and to me it seems tougher to get them as tight and true as before, I suppose to all the fatigue of de-tensioning and re-tensioning the wheel. BUT on my current DH ride I have a single track rim that I have re-laced a number of times, it has held up great so far, and has just started to lose its true after a year of riding some of which was CO dh, some crazy urban in Chicago and the like...so depending on your style and how old your current rims are you should be fine just lacing new hubs to your current rims. Just find a good wheel builder and you'll be fine. Hope this helps and disc brakes are great!
