Hey all,
If anyone out there has any 2X4's, 4X4's, 2X8's, 2X10's, etc of any length and sound quality out there, please drop them off on the west side of the mound at the end of the tubing hill at Buck.
We are going to be using these to build sections of the "skills" course for the Annual meeting. This is a one time event so the wood does not need to be treated, but it should be in good shape and of good quality.
Any sizes and lengths will be usefull.
If you are coming to help with the construction, please bring along anything you might have lying around, if you can't make it to help build, but have something that we might be able to use, please drop it off anytime before noon Sunday Sept 26th.
I will be bringing a large supply of screws to build with.
If you have any questions please give me a call. 612-207-7102.
Thanks
James

I have 8 roof trusses that I could not use. I can't deliver them but they're yours if you want the 2x4's for building stuff. The 2x4's are at least 8 feet long in the truss.
email, PM, or reply here if you want them.

Hmmm, Now that you mention it I've been lloking to demolish a wood box in my back yard..lots of useful wood.
I could also tear down my garage, fence and the 2nd story of my house, if you think we need it.

Hmmm... I'm almost done with finishing my house...
I have some scrap... well good sound left overs I can drop off.
I also have two standard size solid wood doors that are smooth that could be used for something. Would you be interested in those?
I don't want to just drop off anything you couldn't use.
Too bad you couldn't use sheetrock... lol :eyeroll:

My neighbor just ripped apart his old deck and all the wood from it is available. There are several 4x4s 4-7' long, quite a few 2x6s up to about 12' long, and even more 2x4s.
The 4x4s are in good shape, the rest of the wood is really weathered. I think the 2x6s are still in pretty good shape. The 2x4s are torn up on the sides but might still be usable.
All of this is free. If you want it, let me know by Sunday and i'll pick it all up.

Michael,
Thanks for the offer but we would need it by either noon this saturday or noon this sunday at buck. If you were planning on showing up to help us build let me know. I thought you were heading over to Gnomefest.

I hadn't realized that the building was this weekend. I just got a new job and it's running me into the ground so i haven't been paying as much attention to the forums as i should be.
If anyone is in the SLP area and wants to pick up the wood, it's sitting out by the curb in my neighbor's yard. I can let him know that others will be by to pick out the wood they want. It should be there until Tue.
Let me know if you're interested and i'll let him know.

It sounds like we will have more than enough materials to work with, but if we do need it I'll give you a call and we will swing by on sunday morning to pick it up.
Thanks again for the offer.

You're welcome to try me, but my phone has been acting wierd for a while now. Even if i have it with me, it may not work in WI.
I'll let my neighbor know that you may or may not come by and pick it up.
If you do, please make sure you restack whatever wood you leave. He's got someone coming to pick up whatever is left and requested that i restack things to make it easier to pick up.

It went pretty well. We got more done than I expected. I don't want to get into specifics because it's mostly a secret, but I think it will be a lot of fun for people. If you come out early next week on Saturday, let me know what time you will show up and I will meet you out there to help polish things up just before the ride. You can just PM me if you want.
