5pm in the lot of course!

All we have left is to do the finishing work on 3 re-routes!!

If we can get somewhere between 9 and 12 people we could get eveything done in a little over an hour!

So come on guys, get out and help a trail out!

Dale and I are going to be out with the machinery Wed 9-22 to do the rough cut of the section you guys cleared last week. After that we are finished with Terrace Oaks for this year. Next year we will finish the rest of the approved re-routes.

FYI--I finished everything that was cleared tonight. What a sweet trail. Reminds me of the DREAM II trail at Lebanon. Not quite as long though.

Doug, about 40 feet from the entrance of what I cut tonight I changed the trail. I found a very large rock buried in the ground and by going over it I believe we now will have a very good area for the start of a Lundell style rock garden. It is right at the top of one of the longer, steeper climbs. Check it out and let me know what you think. Lots of excellent rocks in this area just waiting for harvesting and placing at strategic spots on the trail.

I also changed the trail a bit near the top. Just before it rejoins the old trail there was a very large rock that was buried beside the trail. I dug a hole and moved the rock into the hole. With a bit of work I think we can run the trail right over the rock and have a little drop in on the other side of this rock. There is also room for an alternative route around the rock for those that don't have the courage to try their skills riding over it!!

Can anyone tell by how much I LOVE ROCKS that I used to have to pick them by hand on our farm in North Dakota??

Were the rocks you picked up by hand the same size?

:banana: :etard: :banana:Sweet! Thanks for clearing it all for us Tim! I'll check out the rock, we did notice some along the cutting too, and yes i can tell you love rocks, it can clearly be seen on how you flag a trail.

You guys to a great job of imagining it in your head as you flag. When we clear it it sometimes takes a while to figure out what you were going for but we always know its going to be something good!

Good. Hopefully, we'll get enough volunteers on Monday to finish the new sections. I plan to be there.

I'll probably also bring my bike and lights, and will be one of the first to ride the new trails afterwards.

Keep up the good work, guys. Terrace Oaks has a lot of nice hilly land, with plenty of woods to work with. This could eventually become an excellent mountain biking area, loaded with dream-style singletrack.

Ok so i was just out there today seeing what the deal with the C-Dale test ride thingy was.......and.........was planning on doing a "little" of the finishing work right......i get no more than 200 yards in and there is this tree hanging across the trail, well trees would be more like it! So yeah i got no finishing work done today, but i cleared 3 dangerous trees that fell across the trail, one of them (the first one for those who saw it) was extremely dangerous! The others were minor but hindered the riding. There is however one i could not get to with the tools i had with me. Need a chainsaw for this one, sooo since Don Y has the one we were using, anyone else got a MORC one we can use for a bit on Monday?

For Monday we are just going to be doing the finishing work on the 3 re-routes that were cleared. 12 people would be ideal to get it all done in one night! So please come on out guys and help us out!

Doug, Three bananna for your hard work. :banana::banana::banana:Thanks!

I plan to be there Monday, but my chainsaw is still in the shop getting a new electronic ignition. I suggest we try to get the finish work done on Monday, then come back with a saw on another day to get the tree.

So, WE NEED VOLUNTEERS FOR MONDAY!
There will be:
* Free beer on tap!
* Free Massages!
* Brittney Spears doing lap dances!
* Night riding afterwards!

Well, maybe at least some night riding.

See you there.

Good turn out tonight! Thanks to all that could make it! We were able to get through the second re-route and almost finish the third one. One more week should get the rest of things done! Thanks guys!

Douglas

Oh yeah, and Bob went for a night ride after.......so he'll have to tell us how the trail felt.
