Yep. I've heard it's supposed to be around $800-850. Seems like a killer deal to me.

So now you can have a 12", 16", 18", 20" (most popular), 24", 26", or 29" BMX bike........

The Monkey is a 29" that CAN be a single speeder....it can also be a gearie....it can be a complete frankenstein's monster if you want it to be:

Aaaaahhhh! The one I ran into in AZ was set up as an ss. I didn't realize it was AC/DC. It was the first 29"er I had seen, and it was damn strange to look at. Parking my 26" next to it made my bike look like a kid's ride, while the Monkey looked like kid's bike with really big wheels. Threw the whole frame to wheel proportion thing out the window. Thanks for the enlightenment.

You can make any mountain bike a single speeder if you want. A single speed specific bike will not have a derailleur hanger. Kind of like my Haro Freestyle bike......yep, no hanger.....it's a pure single speed.....:D

Not suprising, from what I've seen, ss is a pretty popular monkey option w. the horizontal rear drops and all.....
......yep, no hanger.....it's a pure single speed.....Speaking of frankestein's, wouldn't it now be possible to make hangerless bikes into gearies by using the Saint/Hone group derailluer and hub??? (As long as the rear spacing was wide enough) Totally excessive, I know, but it's yet another enabler to justifying another build project....mwahahahahaha!!!:crazy2:

Actually, I would not be surprised to see the Saint system gravitate to an XC line. Just think, not more hangers to bust off or bend. I guess the Derailleur might get smashed, but better than a frame or a frame part that's hard to find sometimes.
