So you post a poll about age, then you don't even post your own page. By the way I'm 25.

I'm 37 going on 22. Yep, because I never gave up on riding......I still feel young as ever.
Heck, I just started jumping the spine at the skatepark and am now getting smoother landings on it.......age is just a number.

Yesterday was my b-day, so I'm 26 now... I tried to go riding, but had to turn around due to searing knee pain. I must be getting old... :cryin:

My wife is due on my 40th birthday (1/2/05), I haven't figured out yet if having a kid is going to make me feel old or young.

I think this depends entirely on you. Just think of it as playing. Adults often try to hard to be......well....um....adults.

I'm 32 and we had our first child 1/2/2004, so you have a GREAT birthday! The first two months made me feel 80, the last 6 have made me forget about age alltogether.
What a great deal! You're in for the time of your life! Congratulations!

Kids can make you feel both. It's amazing how quickly time passes as you watch a child develop and grow. Seeing them reach significant stages (walking, talking, riding their bike w/o help) does this. One minute they're crawling, the next they're keeping pace with you on their bikes. However, on the plus side, you get to be a kid again because you get to play with them and their toys. When my son was younger, I used to enjoy racing slot cars and building Lego stuff with him. That can make you feel young. Now he's about ready to turn 11 and tackle outer Leb on his BMX. That makes me feel old. I'll be 39 in 19 days and my son will turn 11 in 20 days. My daughter and wife share the same birthdate. Congrats on impending fatherhood. It's a gas.

I'm clocking in at a quarter of a centrury old...and I don't wanna know what more years are to bring cause my back is already shot. Seems one loop around Leb and I'm already in pain.
I gotta look into redoing my bike setup I think, fiddle with the stem or somethin. The full boinger sure helped but not enough!

The real measure of age is how quick does it stop hurting AFTER the crash......:D
I've noticed my recovery time increasing as I get older.

I'm 34 years old as of june of this year. If I keep up the pace I'm living, riding bike and playing hockey two nights out of the week I'm feeling older than I really am. But staying active is where it's at. Congrats on the upcoming baby Pat. They make life what it is, and their years go by so fast.
32 here. 33 by the turn of the year (12/30). Still feeling pretty young. Like Shad and others have said, it's a mindset. As long as you keep playing, and your purchases are toys. :)
I've noticed my recovery time increasing as I get older.
Admittedly, I've noticed this a bit as well. But I've also done some of my longest rides ever this year so that could explain some of it. Another thing I've noticed is even though I think I'm a little fitter this year than I have been recently, it's been doubly tough to drop the ring around my gut. Oh well.
37.
And I agree with Eric about taking longer to heal after a crash. In the last few years it seems like it takes forever for the pain and bruising to go away.

I always try pretty hard not to be. All I can think of is all of the new toys I will get to buy.

Of course those laps keep getting longer for some reason. :)

Then again you look at Bill O.(stoneage) and he could undoubtedly kick my rear end on the road AND the trail. Not sure how old he is but I think it's safe say he's older than me (39). ;)

I'm 37, married, have a 3 year old and another on the way in about 7 weeks. I really don't feel my age. I've been obsessive/compulsive about fitness all my life. I High Jumped at the U of M and then went into competitive bodybuilding. I kind of fell into biking as a form of aerobic activity during the spring, summer, & fall (the treadmills, cross-trainers, and stationary bikes get real old!). Biking just grew on me. Mountain Biking is something I just took up this summer. I try to bike on all my non-lifting days. Biking reminds me of Track as I can measure progress by the amount of mileage I can put in during a single session!

44 next month, no kids, but pleanty of neices and nephews to spoil rotten.
Just did the Afton race solo, felt pretty good, but those climbs started to kick my ass by the end.
Lots of good riding left this season, travelling to our property in northern WI, and North Dakota at the end of Sept.
Age is a state of mind, it just takes a bit longer to recover.

29 here - oh wait - that's my age at the end of this year - dang MNSCS entry forms! 28. If I shave then I look like I'm 12. If I don't shave...well, it takes a long time before I have to shave, so we won't talk about that.
I don't have to worry about recovering cuz I don't crash. HA!
Unless I'm riding with Craig and Don.....

Put it this way: My helmet is 25 years old.
I would have put my birth date into the personal info section, but I was afraid that you'd all feel obligated to buy me presents when I turn 47 this month.
For those of you in your upper 30's, just remember: Jesus and Mozart were both dead at your age.
