MORC Jersey Order #4 Status / Sale

I would like to get our 4th Jersey order placed as soon as possible. This may be the last order of this jersey, as we may have an opportunity to do something different next year.

A few ordered late in the spring just after our 3rd order had been placed and they have been patiently waiting for their jerseys.

We only have 6 ordered out of 18 needed. To spark more orders I'm posting the sale price to everyone as a late fall deal. This is everyone's chance to get one that doesn't have one yet and still have it in time for this season.

Just wanted to remind everyone that jerseys are on SALE at $50 each so we can hurry up and get our 4th order placed.

Now is the time to pick one up, or maybe even a second (or third!) I have had people waiting since June for their jersey and would love to get this order placed.

I think if we don't get enough orders by the next meeting I will ask MORC to just order a few extras and place the order. This is good, but it would be bad for anyone not quite sure if they want to order or not. It is likely we'll place another one next spring, but this order would probably be our last before 2005...

So... get those Christmas gifts ordered now while you still have a chance! Tell your significant other or relatives that they have a chance for a cool gift if they act in the next couple of weeks.

On the next order do you think it would be possible to order some BMX/DH style jerseys in long sleeve, or short sleece w/o the pockets and such so I have one that I could throw over my armor at races and such???

We could do a LS order, it would have to be a separate order of I think a minimum of 16 items... not sure if they have an option w/o pockets - I'll look.

Thanks that would be great!!! If there is a minimum number let me know, and I can send out as e-mail to non-members that race alot from MN, I might be to get some more people to order them if that is alright.

Sizing??? Can anyone give me a comparison as to how these Garneau "Club" cut jerseys fit? I wear Large in Castelli and a "4" in VOmax.... I would think I'd be a medium but I need to check. I have one LG jersey at home but I am not sure what cut it is. I will have to check.

The large Castelli is pretty tight - nice road jersey. The large MORC jersey is very loose. Nice for MTBing - so I think it also comes down to want you want as far as fit goes.

I have permission from the board to place our 4th order. I'm going to just order random sizes to finish off the order - so some may become available.

However, if you want to guarantee yourself a jersey before next spring, now is the time to order. They are discounted at $50 currently but will go back up to regular price after I place this order. We may or may not be able to get a spring order placed, so now is the time. I'm placing the order Tuesday morning, so get your last minute orders in if you want one.

Don't forget Christmas is around the corner too! ;)

We may do something with the new logo, but nothing is guaranteed at this point. It might be the same jersey, or a completely different one perhaps...

If it is a different design for the next order, you can be the only one on your block with BOTH an original version, and the second release. Just think of how cool you will be.

Hey, There's some people here who design for a living... Any thought to opening up the design of the new jerseys to MORC members as a competition? Maybe post the designs here and have members select their fav? Maybe give a freebie away to the designer who wins? ;)

Speaking for the potential designers, all you'd have to post would be the vector template for the design as well as vector art and placement rules for any logos or endorsements.

I like that idea. I tried to get some input last winter but there wasn't much available.. we could do it much differently this time now that we've seen a jersey and know it can be done.

I would like not to be the one responsible for the design next time around, I know that much ;)

Having said that, I do like how they turned out. I wore nothing but MORC or Patrol jerseys this year.

There isn't a women's style and they run pretty big. I have an XS and am 5'3" 115 lbs. That size is even a little loose but wearable.

I got notice that the jerseys are being shipped in the next day or so. Not quite in time for Christmas, but almost!

We'll start sending them out most likely early January.

Haha. Don't worry we are still lurking! I have just been working too much. For all those still wanting jerseys, I promise I am going to deal with that next week. We are sure now everyone got one that ordered one, so I will take an inventory and get rid of the rest on a first come basis.

Work has killed me this year... its so bad I can't think straight for more than like 5 minutes at a time.

Prolly going to see me a little less this year than in the past.. (which is still probably too much hehe)

I updated the jersey sale page to reflect the current price. We have a few of each I think available. Liz is the one to contact for size availability.

No plans for a new design unless someone wants to step up and help?
