I just wanna find out if its just my bike or all bikes. I ride a Raleigh M50 and keep the gears usually in 3 in front and 4 in back. Every time hit a jump my chain rattles aganist my frame. I am kinda annoyed about this. Is there anything I can do?

If you jump a lot, consider getting a chain tensioner. Most of them are a roller the sits under your chainstay and pulls up on the chain to tighten it.

In the meantime, make sure the screw on the back of the derailleur, not the movement ones that are next to eachother, is tightened. This one screw pushes against a plate that the derailleur spring connects to. It adds tension to the chain. Sometimes taking a link out of the chain can help, just make sure your derailleur can shift into all possible gears, especilly big in front and big in rear. If your not sure how to do these things, take it to a good shop and have them help you. I suggest One on One Bicycle Studio in downtown Minnespolis.

Good luck.

Wrap the chainstay with something like a Lizard Skin available at your friendly local bike shop, or an old tube with zip ties, or anything else you can make work. It's a common problem.
Ok, I tried the tube idea and it works great! Thanks a lot.
