Do you mean you want to completely reload your computer from scratch? If so, just stick your restore disk in that you got with the computer and you might be able to delete the partition and recreate it. That would do the trick. This is all assuming you have a regular Compaq/Dell type of computer brand. Of course there are other ways of doing this.. Let me know if this sounds like the correct path.

Back up any personal files first because everything will be erased. :eyeroll:

thanksIf you are just trying to reboot, push and hold the power button for about 5 or so seconds.

If you need any other help from us computer heads, you need to be more specific. Like what O/S do you have and is it a laptop or pc?

I am assuming you are just locked up though and all you need to do is hold down the power button until it reboots automatically.

I'm not trying to be a d---, but please put a little more info in the subject line so that people who haven't a clue won't waste any time reading a post that they wouldn't open in the first place if they knew more about it.
thanks,

If you have a restore cd or a windows cd. Pop it in and hit the key that asks if you want to boot to cd(most computers built in the last few years will boot to cd. Than just follow the prompts

All you have to do to avoid "wasting any time" is to position your pointer over the thread you would like to read, but don't click on it, and a preview of said thread will pop up. That way you can read the first post in the thread, instead of opening it all the way up.

Thanks, I'll do that. And with the extra time I'll save I'm going to design the replacement for the disc brake. I'm thinkin' something internal, and all you have to do is backpedal to actuate it...
