I was going to go out to Salem this morning but as I was heading out the door it was sprinkling and looked pretty wet outside. I think I'm going to go tomorrow morning if it dries up. Anyone been out to Salem lately is real wet or will it be safe to ride tomorrow?
Thanks in advance

I got two words for you. Sand and weeds. That pretty much sums up Salem Hills right now. Actually, with all of the sand there will probably get pretty good drainage and it will dry out fast, so i don't think you need to worry about that. Riding through the weeds, however, is an interesting experiance. It's kind of fun, but it gets old after a couple of laps.

Yes Salem does have amazing drainage. I went out Saturday at about 4:30 pm. There was only one small wet spot, where the log crossing is. The moisture made the sand much more tacky and very easy to get through. The weeds were another story, There are now parts of the trail that you cannot even see any more and I took down a few of the really tall weeds with my handelars, but not enough. I could tell that someone made some effort to clear some of the trail, but it looks to me like it is getting out of control and the weeds are winning (if there was ever any doubt).
This is a very good trail to work on endurance though, you can crank out 3 or 4 laps without having to worry too much about crashing on obstaclaes.
