Wow. Rode Harmon Park last night for the first time in a couple of weeks. Talk about an overgrown weed jungle in spots, especially in the SE corner of the field where it wasn't mowed earlier. I kept waiting for Sasquatch to jump out of the weeds and grab me. :D
James, any idea what IGH's policy is on some MORC Trail Care Crew members going out and doing a little ad hoc trail clean up with a weed wacker or a lawn mower? I've got some time this weekend and I'd be happy to put in a few hours to try to clean things up some, but I don't want to be out there if we're not supposed to be doing that sort of a thing.

Eric,
I am working on getting the DR Mower over there to mow a path through the entire trail sysyem and then go through with roundup and spray the trail tread.
It is just taking some time to get it all organized.
I'll make sure and let people know when we are going to do it.
Thanks for the offer of help.
James

The overgrown weeds almost make it a challenge since you can barly see what you're riding on, or where you are going. I love the trail and can see where there is potential in the future for a much more technical portion to be built. Anyone know if stuff like what's at Leb will be constructed for this trail too? The last 3 times there, I have found ticks on my arms:cryin: today I found a deer tick (no good!). They definately need to mow on a schedule.:etard:

Except the ticks the weeds are kind of a cool effect since they are about 8 feet tall! Kind of parting the sea. But it would probably good to get them cut down.

Yes, Sasquatch could very well be eating berries around any corner, and you don't want to crash into a Sasquatch when he or she is eating berries! :scream:
