Can someone give me some more info on where the trail is? I live fairly close to it, but don't know the park at all... I would love to try it out... Any info would be more than helpful... I'd rather not spend my night ridding around looking for it.

thanks in advance...

The best way to find your way around is to go to the NW corner at the intersection of Hwy 55 and Theo Wirth Pkwy. From there, a paved bike path goes north following the road up the hill. About 20 or 30 meters along the bike path from the intersection you'll see singletrack go off into the trees to the left. Take that.

You'll find yourself on about a 1/2 mile stretch of singletrack that ends at some railroad tracks. Go West along these tracks for 100 meters or so and look to the other side of the tracks for an entrance to the rest of the Theo Wirth trails. From there, it's all exploration :).

This map will help give you a general idea of the layout, too:

So is the road at the bottom of the map Hwy 55? And the squiggly road that runs sort of north T.W.Pkwy? I'm just trying to get my bearing straight with the map...

Do you know if I can get there from the commuter trial that runs into downtown along 394?

Yes.

Yes, the easiest to descriibe but less fun way is just to get off the paved trail at Cedar Lake Parkway and head north across 394 where it becomes Theo Wirth Pkwy, keep riding north until you get cross 55 and get to the trail.

Thanks much... I'll get there first, then I'll work on making it fun.

The best way to learn the Theo Wirth trail system is to show up for the Kenwood Cyclery (http://kenwoodcyclery.com) Monday night ride. 6 PM at the shop.
