OK,
Trailwork next week will fall on the 5th. a day off for most of us. I am going to be up in northern Minnesota for the weekend, but had planned to be back mid-day or so Monday.
Do we want to hold trailwork at the normal time Monday Night? Will this be interfering with anyones plans? Maybe start earlier and then head down to Taste of Minnesota for the Femmes show?
Cancel next week and plan on finishing off the park on July 12th? or maybe a sat finish and ride session July 10th?
Let me know everyone.

I won't be back until late on Monday so I wouldn't be able to make it.
Good point. I will be out of town for the weekend and won't be returning until late evening on Monday. Hopefully I'll get a chance to ride 9 Mile on the way back from my sister-in-laws place in Menominee MI.
I may be able to do the saturday finish and ride on the 10th.

I would be down with a Saturday finish and ride on the 10th. At least i could get some trail work in at Harmon before it is complete.

Doug-
What trail/loop at 9 mile would you recommend for beginners? My wife was wondering If she could do some riding there as well.

9 mile is not actually all that hard to ride! Its a lot of singletrack, but also a lot of fire road to singletrack type of stuff as well. I would suggest parking by the chalet but instead of riding from there, head south down the road you came in on (like your driving past the paking place) and go up the lil hill until you see some gate like structures on both sides, then head in there to the left, thats the BEST singletrack flow 9 mile has. Its about 10 miles worth if you loop them all right. Kinda hard to guess if youve never ridden there tho. Also can be very easy to get lost if you dont know the trails as well.
They all loop back towards the start one way or another, but can get confusing. Soooo id suggest trails 1,2,3 to start with. Trails 5,6,7 are the more technical sections and may only be partialy open this time of year, they got good rock sections in em tho! Damn i wish i could come with and show ya where to ride! Just make sure you get a trail map if they got em and have it with ya, there are markers ect... so you can get your bearings if you have a sense of direction.
All in all its a place for all levels, if you want it to be easy ride slower and enjoy, if you want it hard ride fast and switch up the loops to include more fire road climbs. You'll have fun either way ya go. And dont forget to come in on the slight uphill towards the chalet, its a fast uphill that the 24 hr finishes on (see pics i posted somewhere).
Have fun man! (hope this helped)

**Pic might be too small, i can never figure this crap out**
Thanks Douglas! That should help quite a bit. I've got a map from Dirk (Dmonkey) when he went a few weeks ago and I also printed the map from the Marathon county site.
Thanks again. Love to have you as a guide, sometime in the future maybe. . .
