Had a good fun ride tonight with Eric (Brick) and Troy (Heckler35) out Battle Creek. I pulled out the camera to shoot some video the first time on a downhill leading down to the paved trail but didn't have any luck trying to ride with one hand and shoot with the other. Somehow the video got jumpled and I lost a great over the handlebar manuever by Eric.

I had much better luck when I got off the bike and took some video of them riding the new rock section.

best to right click on the link and choose save target as then download to your harddrive.

But all the riders missed the rock section to the right at the bottom. Whats up with that?

That is where the specatacular endos can happen!!

The spectacular endo happened over by "jesus saves"--it just didn't get captured on film.

Cool video Scott, thanks for the ride last night. We'll have to get out again. The rock section to the right is starting to get overgrown and is hard to see at speed. I seen that section when I was at the bottom of the rock garden, next time I'm out at BC I'll do that part of the rock garden. Thanks again to Scott and Eric for the ride.

Hah not at all. It at least gave me a chance to catch my breath after trying to hold onto Troy's back wheel :)

Hang on to my wheel, I needed the break from Scott. I was a little tired out after that ride. Need to get out and ride more I guess. Nice line thru the rock garden Eric. The speed will come in time, then you'll be flying over everytning. Thanks again for the ride. We'll meet again on the trails soon.:crazy2:

This is something that I would like to address at Battle creek sometime soon. When we put it in last year we did not want it on the main line of the trail but wanted it to be an advanced alternative (you had to choose to take the line). Now I'm realizing that in order to ride it at all, you really have to mess up your flow through that section. I think an earlier cut off to the right would be great. Maybe just above the trees then let the rest grow in. You'd have a much better line for coming over the drop and more people would ride it.

I'll have to run this by Steve G. and see what he thinks.

Nice video Scott. It was a great night for a ride. Probably would have joined you guys if I wasn't working down at Harmon.

That would make it flow better coming into that alt. rock drop. I did it last year, but as Troy stated you really have to change your flow to the right. I can see why people can wreck there. That drop is cool. Maybe some type of signage to indicate that part of the trail so riders don't get hurt.

well if you know it is there and make a predetermined thought process to do the drop it will flow real easily I know james has flown through that with me on his tire I know I tailgate too much in the tough sections
