6:00pm
Salem Hills Parking Lot
I went out and walked out work area about 10 minutes ago along whit about 1/4 of the Trail and everything is in good condition to Work. I did Identify some spots where major work, i.e Boardwalks, reroutes are going to have to be done due to low areas with standing water.
We will be working on the West and Southwest side of the Pond. The Pond is South of the Parking lot at Salem Hills.
Any Questions or directions, give me a call at 612-207-7102
Thanks
James
We got a fair amount of work done last night with our slim but dedicated crew. Met some trail neighbors that were out walking a beautiful pair of Ridgebacks. The couple was very impressed with our volunteer work and thanked us for our efforts.
Come on out and join us next week when we move to MONDAY night. You'll get a chance to view and help cut some of the most perfect backslope a trail has ever seen. :)

It was a pretty good time. Now if I could stop talking during our work sessions, maybe we could get something done!

Urban?!?!?
We went over and rode Theo! Little tacky, and a couple of corners were a little slick but overall it was pretty rideable.
Good ride but we did get a little wet from hitting the trees and shaking the water out.
How was playing volleyball in the rain?

She was quite impressed, mostly with how tight it was through the trees. Most of the riding the does in Texas is very sparse on trees, or not near as thick.
We did ride the new singletrack and it is holding up incredibly well. It had just enough moisture in it that we were packing it down real nice.
Can't wait to see more.

Did you ride south of the tracks, I meant to send you an update that it was pretty greasy.

We did the hill park behind harmon but dumped out at the Humane Society and avoided the low area of the trail / gully area back there.
We rode around Brownie, but not up the side hill, nor did we ride any of the trails down by Cedar lake.
The Only dirt we really road was in the work area. There was no standing water anywhere, there were a few soft spots at the bottom of the gullies on the trail by the fence with the golf course. other than that it was in pretty good shape.
The wet roots did make it treacherous however, Front wheels were jumping all over the place.
