Is this trail project still alive? Any latest developments on persuing the dream of 20 miles of singletrack through this park someday? Or, is this still a political hot potato?

I'm waiting with baited breath for an update here... though it looks like I won't be riding Murph this year since I'm not in Chequamegon...

While we do not have the go ahead to do anything in the park at this time, we continue to meet with the managers of this outstanding park. I can only say that the wheels of government turn slowly and that is why I try to work about 3 years ahead of actual trail work by meeting with the land managers. Until we get the official word about trails in this park I cannot comment fully on our discussions. I will say that the land managers from 3RPD have been very positive in all of our meetings and all progress that we have made has been forward towards trails that would be open all season.

...best wishes on your efforts. I personally think the double track there blows withered donkey satchel. If I wanted to ride smooth double track I'd ride my roadie along the river.
The park has a lot to offer indeed. I would pray that Leb should be a perfect example of successful multi-user co-existence.
