Drove up for the first time today only had about 20 mins to ride so rode the deadmans loop. Some of it was pretty sloppy, but most of it was damp or dry. Gonna try and head back out sometime this week and explore it a little more. On the way there there was no sign for Central St. but its the second right after the stoplight. Overall was pretty fun, wasn't looking to get too dirty or stay out too long so missed lots of it.

I rode Milaca today, most of it. It was awesome. Advice- get on it before bugs and heat kill you. Otherwise wait til fall.
The first loop I avoided the Pines as entry was muck. I did however do Rum River, North Woods Trail, The Bog, Aspen, Back Door and half of Sky Hill. 9.7 miles.
The second loop, I was dirty and did the Pines. No problem after muck entrance. I did all the same as above paragraph but added Pines and left off Bog (my loss). I wish I would have done bog again (it's unuiqe and well done!)
Overall the course was in good condition. Peanut Butter, Oil and Muck Mud was abound. I also ran into water, however, none of the water was deep enough to swap my feet. My feet were mucked, but dry.
This course is awesome. Well placed and easy to read. The Bog was 10 ft to of walking to get in/out but totally readable and do-able. No excuses!!
Over all I rate this 8.5 of 10 for variety and good times. Best near mpls I've done for cross country/mountian/mud. Hills are moderate to nil, but roots, rock, muck, water, and boardwalk make it awesome.
I realize now I missed half of Sky Hill both times but it's all good.
I did 17.3 miles in just over two hours(two loops, once bog, once pines
each time.) Don't be fooled, I ride hard and often. You will get spent on one full loop.
I grabbed a donut and gatorade afterward and still feeling buzz of a great ride.
Go now or wait til fall.
