Moreover, is it even going to open this year for lift access?
They need to either do it right, or kill the lift service altogether and make us earn our downhills. I've still got a freebie pass from a poor experience last season but would rather take the shorter drive to Cable if no improvements have been made at Lutsen for 2004.

I still don't understand why Spirit Mountain doesn't wise up and get a real bike park going in summer.

umm, not enough downhill and no way to keep non-payers out.
we ride the "downhill" at spirit and the pedal back up takes 20 minutes. nobody would pay $10/20 to ride spirit.... [imo]
what do you riders want to see at spirit??

klhigh speed quad chair open in summer, lots of stunts of course. Host some downhill and dual slalom races. And open that bar too, maybe some live bands to play in evening?? ... just to name a few.
