I was down in the La Crosse area all weekend so I am not up to speed on how much rain we received up in the cities. I know my plans to ride in Winona were canceled when we got flash flooding down there.
Since I still have my bike on the car I was hoping to skip out to Battle Creek after work but just wanted to see if I could get a heads up on the trail status before I left today around 5.
Thanks!

scottI haven't seen the trail, but have seen a good amount of damage the winds did last night in St. Paul.
I'm thinking around and inch of rain. Due to how dry it was before the rain, I'd think 5 would be fine on most trails in the area.
Let us know if you do go if there is any tree damage or trail issues after the high winds.

Things were so dry that I bet by the end of the day, things might be ok to head out. I'm betting the water gets sucked right up by the ground. There'll be a few wet spots for sure, but that should be ok.

Thanks marty, I think I shall feel it out and see how things are. Maybe I'll even throw the camera in the backpack.

If BC is where you are thinking about going I would also think that it would be good this evening. BC seems to dry out / soak in pretty quickly due to the sandy and gravely soil. Use your own judgement when ya get there though.
Have fun.

Saw quite a few other riders out there too. Headed out there after work with two friends and we got some good riding in. Its been a few years since I have ridden BC and the trails are looking good after they had to remove all that vegation a few years back.
Afterwards jumped on I-94 and headed over to Sweeney's for a few post ride brew and some food and thought it was funny that we happened to pull up a seat right next to this sign (note the sticker on the bottom).
