Anybody ever watch Quicksilver, I've never bothered to watch it before, but it was on so I took a look (working hard you know).

Maybe I'm just being a bike nerd, but Kevin Bacon is obviously supposed to be riding a fixie (no brakes and they show at least one closup of the drivetrain), but more than once the show coasting down hills and down stairs, how lame is that.

Coaster Brake?

I have watched the movie but don't remember it to well.

Now get back to work Pat :crazy2:

Oh Yeah, I should have some Fruita Movies ready in a couple of weeks

A classic bike movie that I remember (classic to me!) watching over and over as a kid was Rad. I remember thinking that movie was so great!

I think it's time for a good bike movie. Anyone ready to shoot one?

There hasn't been a feature length movie about mountain biking yet, I think it is time. I guess there is a documentary about downhill racing, can't remember what it is called.

My favorite cheesy biking movie is American Flyer, I even have it on DVD :)

Guilty! I have it too. My wife just didn't find it as funny as I did though.

Don't know if I've ever seen American Flyer. Gotta stop by target on the way home tonight, I'll have to check if they have it.

I don't think I've seen the whole thing...
but I remember when he was doing all those tricks in his (or his girlfriend's) apartment - that was a cool pad!

Is American Flyers the one with Kevin Costner?
Hmmm - two movies about cycling and two Kevins.....

Cool pad, but painfully cheesy scene. :D

Ya, Costner and Rae Dawn Chong as his girlfriend.

How about the movie "Breaking Away"? I haven't seen it in quite a few years, but I remember plenty of cheesy parts with Dennis Quaid and Peter Yates directing. "The Cutters" live!!!!:scream:

I haven't seen that in many many years, I was just thinking about it, might have to see if I can pick it up somewhere.

Breaking Away is a great movie. It got the Oscar for best original screenplay that year.

I'm hoping that someday they will finally release RAD on DVD. Maybe they have some extra behind the scenes footage that they could add as extras. I can remember trekking down to the small little video store maybe fifteen to twenty blocks from my house to rent it with my brother and friends.

Being that I was soooo into BMX and Freestyle when RAD came out.....I hated the movie. I was so excited to see it, but then was like huh....this isn't BMX.

I only liked the opening and closing credits, the movie sucked from day one!

How can you not like a movie starring Lori Loughlin, star of Full House? I mean if only Bob Saggot could have played Bart Conners (Taylor) roll with John Stamos and whoever the other comedian guy was cast as the twins!

I will admit to being only seven years old when I saw it but I still say that Eddie Fiola rocks the 360's.
