Buck Hill Pre-Ride

The 4.5 mile singletrack race course at Buck Hill will be available for pre-riding the afternoon of Friday May 7th, the day before Erik's Spring Cup at Buck mountain bike race. Riding is open to MORC Members and Race Registrants only. I''ll be putting the finishing touched on the course signage, arrows, and taping - give a wave at the guy on the Honda CRF - that would be me.

A big thanks to Tim and Dale for putting together a jump on the last downhill at Buck! It was fun to see riders parked at the top of the hill not knowing whether or not to take it, but once they got going they were jumping then turning back up the hill so they could jump again. Should make a great place to watch tomorrow!

The idea is that the jump leads to a quicker line down the hill. If you do not jump, you take a route around some cones that takes slightly longer. Benefit of the jump is a quicker ride down - but more technical. You'll hopefully start to see some of this type of thing in some areas of our trails where appropriate - its a great idea.

Dale even rode his moto-x bike over the jump. I was going to ride the 4-wheeler over it, but stopped short.. maybe tomorrow ;)

HOpe everyone makes it out to Buck tomorrow! It will be a great race, and is one of MORCs major funding events for the year. The better the event the more trails we'll be able to build...
