Hey all. Kris in Red Wing just dropping a line to let everyone know that we are planning trail work days on Memorial Bluff for the first Saturday of every month through October. Our plan is to make each work day a true event involving trail work, riding, and a potluck of some sort. Check out the contact information and details at the Muddy River Rock N Roll race web site: www.muddyriverrocknroll.com (http://www.muddyriverrocknroll.com). Look forward to seeing everyone.

I'd also like to thank the MORC board for their invite to last Tuesday's board meeting. Chris Gustafson and I presented our tentative trail plans and discussed our desire to join with MORC in making our trail system the best possible. Steve at The Route here in Red Wing joined us in voicing his support for the trail system here. The MORC board was stoked and we are now truly excited to get to work on some new trail and some cool bridge construction. Look for updates next week after we meet with the Public Works dept. for the city of Red Wing and discuss some plans with them. Expect good news!

Well, I've only been out for a couple of the sessions... but I know some new trail was opened up in May and June. July was a month off. I think in August (I missed this one) some teeters/bridges were constructed and placed and just last Saturday a few of us cleaned/weed whipped a good portion of the trail system.

Not sure what's in store for October. When the weekend for work gets closer either Kris, or Gus (the two in charge of the trails/trail work) post it here.

Yeah, we've been out every month. We had to change the date for Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend but other than that the first Sat. of the month we've been hard at it! We opened up 2 new sections of trail and added some new obstacles that add some great character to the trails. We've got a teeter now that's pretty impressive if you stop to look at its height; a tree ride that will take your breath away and a fun little bridge that will make you think but you won't get hurt if you go off the side. Overall we've had a very productive season. We'll be doing our final scheduled work day the first Sat. of Oct. so it would be great to see everyone down here. At this point we don't have any trail building planned but don't count us out. We'll be updating everyone what the plans are on the MORC site as well as www.muddyriverrocknroll.com (http://www.muddyriverrocknroll.com). Thanks for the interest!
