Just wondering what is the status on the Harmon Park Project? When does trail work commence for the year? When are the trails going to open? Hopefully soon for both!!

Here is the status for Harmon.

Trail work will be starting in May. Day has not yet been determined, but Wed nights seemed to work well last year. We will probably have a big Saturday Trailwork session in the beginning of June.

The Southern loop should be completed and opened for riding sometime in June if we get a good number of workers out for the trail work sessions. There is not a lot left to do, mostly finishing work in the wooded sections, and some sod moving in the praire areas.

The North section of the trail will be completed if/when we get approval for a DNR Grant. More will be known on this soon.

I'll keep everyone posted on when trailwork is going to start.

Those that are interested in helping please let me know what days and times work best for you.

Weekend work is best for me, I live an hour away. Throw in rush hour traffic and weeknights just won't happen.

Where is this trail located? I thought I had seen the location before on this site, but now can't find it. I am wondering how far it will be from me. It doesn't seem to far.

I'm very lucky to be only 4 miles from Lebanon. :D

The parking lot is just off upper 55th on the south side next to the water tower. The entrance is right off the paved bike path. You can go north on the bike trail and hit some easy singletrack or go south down the doubletrack and stay to the right around the lake. It's pretty obvious after that where to go. I don't think it's done yet...at least it wasn't last fall. I live an equal distance between Leb and Salem in Eagan. If I lived in Burnsville, I would take 35E north to 494 east and exit on Robert st. Take a right. Go to Upper 55th and take a left. I can't remember the name of the street you take a right on but it's the street right in the middle of the 's' curve. You should see a water tower on your right. If you get to Babcock Tr., you went to far. :etard:
