Does the paved trail in Shakopee go anywhere anymore, or does it still end where the old bridge went across the river? I know that you used to be able to go in to downtown chaska before they removed the bridge. And, does the Trail still start at the park just outside of Shakopee off of 101?

Thanks

Unless it has changed since last summer, the path was still blocked off at the bridge going towards the West. Other than taking the road, I didn't see any trail that continued. The trail does go to the East from the trailhead at Park (on 101) as well.

I see that the trail continues on the other side of 41, but how do you get there from where the paved trail ends? That way heads of to the farm on the other side of 41 right?

And going east, it goes towards Murphy's Landing and Valleyfair? Interesting.

Thanks Bob

Just before you get to the west end of the paved trail you can see where the snowmobile trail goes to the south. You can get on that and follow it. There is a tee in the trail where either you can go into a parking lot which will take you out to 41 or you can continue on which will follow the river all the way to Lousivile Swamp.

As for the east end of the paved trail it ends at the park next to Murphy's landing. If you conitinue on past the east end of the trail there is a short single track that loops back around following the trail. Some of us have done some work to try to keep this trail open, the trees keep fallin...

Have fun on it, I just moved from Shakopee to St Louis Park so I don't know how much I will ride it now.

Thanks Eric, I will have to look for that when I go out there.
