Raft put-in: 4/10 - your help needed.

We are going to put the raft in this Saturday. A few of us will show up a bit early to organize, but if the rest of you can arrive at 11AM Saturday the 10th of April on the East side (Lyndale side) since that is where the raft is we will be able to make short work of it. All we need to do is drag the raft downhill and plop it in the water - hook up the ropes etc.

My suggestion is to plan to go for a ride where you arrive Nine Mile Creek at around 11AM - we can then get you across with the raft and you can continue your ride - might take a few minutes though. No special tools or gear are needed.

We will have the city open the gate at Lyndale if you need to drive down a bit closer.

I think it is supposed to be a bit cooler by Saturday but could be a nice time to visit with your long lost MORC and river rat friends.

I replied to the accident post and questioned when the raft would be put in. I will try to make it by 11:00. But you never know with 5 year old twins at home it may be tough.

Reminder - The raft project will go this Saturday, rain, shine, or snow. Better to do the job ASAP and not spend a good riding day to do it later.

Note that I said "spend" and not "waste". Doing trail work instead of riding is not a waste of time.

As Don mentioned we are go for tomorrow - some of us will be there around 10AM to prepare things - we plan to move the raft at 11AM with everyones help.

IF you need to drive in closer to the raft vs. biking in the gate should be open by 9:30AM and will be closed when we are done.

Thanks to everyone that showed up. I got there just in time.. the raft was already in! :) I took some pics, I will post them later this week. It was nice to officially meet people that I have seen on the forum and on the trails.
