A select few MORCers came to realise (that's GB speak) that the west side of the RB is plainly rideable today. No raft, but the lot from the Ferry Bridge Lot to 9 Mile Creek was AOK by any definition.

Nary a fleck of mud or moisture on the bike other than my excess chamois mayo.

Back from the River Bottoms and everything looked dry.. Get out there and get the season started. It felt great to be riding again!

Anyone have any idea when the raft will be put back in?

Steve Eberly, one of the trail stewards for the River Bottoms said that the that the river's too deep and the valley too wide. No... wait, a sec. That was Tina Turner. Tina Turner isn't a trail steward, is she? :crazy2:
Actually he said that the RB is dry and ridable, but the raft is not in yet. If conditions stay good, they will try to put it in next week. Oh, and he did also say that Nine-Mile Creek is high right now. :D Watch the MRB forum for the date, and plan to go down an help out. It takes a village to float a raft.

I crack me up sometimes.:crazy2:

Ride safe,

that's one of the few posts that has made me cry I was laughing so hard... I was reading it out loud to my girlfriend who rides as well, and hit the Tina Turner part and just busted out...

Bravo! Bravo!
