April Events
Welcome to the REI Events Update. We are having our first boat demo this month, so it must be spring! We have a good mix for you this month. Adventure racers and endurance athletes will want to attend our Training and Sports Nutrition clinics. Cyclists will enjoy hearing local writer Doug Shidell highlight bike trails from his updated riding guide and Roseville will host a basic bike maintenance clinic to make sure your bike is ready for upcoming adventures. We also have clinics for paddlers, aspiring photographers, world travelers, and backpackers. Our Spring Sale runs April 16th through the 25th, giving you plenty of time to get what you want for that next trip. Oh yeah, we are hiring, too! REI is a great place to work and we need dedicated, outdoor-loving people to help our members. Every rider should know a few things about keeping their bike running smoothly and this is your chance to learn. REI staff will cover changing a flat tire, maintaining a healthy chain, making simple brake adjustments, and identifying trouble spots that might require a mechanic. Learning happens best when it is done hands on. Please bring your front tire to hone your tire changing skills. Whether you ride on-road, off-road, race, or just race around the neighborhood, this clinic will help keep your bike going.
