When is Levis ridable?

I saw on one of the signs in the pictures posted on this site that Levis was open april 1st. That said, when is the earliest that you can ride the trails without damage? I'd like to go once in April and once in May. Is that possible? :confused:

To answer my own question with the link posted below, you can ride the bke singletrack trails all winter. But the trails are closed from March 1-April 15th for deer hunting. So it looks as if it will be a while before anyone can plan trips out to Levis. I am looking for some people to go with in the second half of April. Anyone interested?:crazy2:

There definitely will be a group going to Levi-Trow in the near future. May sounds good to me so in case I forget post a notice at this time to get some people together to ride this beastly trail.:fool:

I won't be going there 'till summer some time. The Babino is due mid May, so that puts off any riding other than strictly local stuff for all of May I'm thinking.

They are closed 3/1 - 4/15, but I believe that is just to protect the trails during the thawing and frost emergence. They are also closed during gun deer season which would fall sometime near mid november.

I'm interested in hitting the Levis trails this season as well. Hopefully I'll be able to make one of the trips.
