Just wanted to say great ride to all who were out with us today fighting the wind.

We started out with 8 and somehow were able to pick up a ninth on our way back in. I think we even made him a convert and he'll be showing up at our Wednesday Night rides.

Sorry I didn't catch a name but it was nice meeting you.

Sooooo the the Capt. took us on a nice LONG ride from Lake Calhoun up through downtown, up the river to 694 across and back down into downtown and back to Whole Foods and some nice homemade mountain bikers post ride beverages. ( As I sprain a shoulder patting myself on the back), Hope everyone liked, but my variety is getting a little low so I need to make up a few more here soon. Anyone have any style recommendations?

The Sunday ride looks to be pretty well set for leaving at noon from the whole foods and choosing a direction to go, next week I though we might head west out towards minnetonka.

Wednesday night at 6:15 from Tuggs on St. Anthony Main has also become a set ride.

So get off that couch and get some miles under your belt so your ready for when the dirt dries out.

Take it easy all,
James

Weather permitting, I may be interested in joining you on next sunday ride. I am in desperate need of a change of scenery and can't wait till the trails dry up. Is there a usual meeting place/time or is it TBA? I may be bringing one or two others if I can be convincing enough.:D

BTW, what kind of riding are you doing? The only bike I have that works is a rigid singlespeed 32/16.

Joel,

As of this time, start location and time are pretty much set. I don't really know what would change it.

As far as gear, we had 2 Singles today, both running 34-17. One rigid, mine front only. We had no problems keeping up. I am thinking of going 36-17 just to keep from spining out.

I'll make sure and post final info by friday or so.

Hope to see you there.

I just wanted to say that Sunday's ride was pretty damn good considering the wind and blacktop..

We've been doing the Urban sessions (not Assalts) for a while now.. Sunday's times may change, but Wed. is pretty much Tuggs at 6:15.
May change up place and times here - but these seem to be nice for general area & meeting.

Thanks again to all who made it, it was a good day for a ride.

It was awesome when Ivan ran over that squirel and then Superclydesdale cleaned him up. Now thats some impressive biking ability. Who would have thought a bike could injure a squirel that bad.

I can't make the wed. rides so I'll see ya'll on Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. The later the better.

How about some more punkin' ale? Can you have that ready by Wednesday? We'll need it after the hills....... ;o)

Sorry Mark,

I have 1 12 oz bottle of Pumpkin left.

Won't be able to brew any more until pumpkins are back in season. I refuse to use anything not locally grown or in season. Soooo next pumpkin batch, with a little less ginger in it, will be ready next november.

Sorry, What I really need is some more of my Wee Heavy. All gone, but was a beatiful cold weather warmer. Mostly due to a ABV of almost 10%!!!:p

I'll root through the beer cellar and see if I have anything hiding.

Sounds like you guys had a great ride. I'm not sure if I'll make the wednesday night this week but maybe the sunday this time if I dont make the Wed. I gotta get some miles on, that KC summit is coming up fast!

I'm still planning on Riding Wed. 6:15 at Tuggs - as long as it's not downpouring or snowing like the tundra.

As for Sunday.. Jason mentioned the later the better - well that will be true for me as well this Sunday.
What about a 2:30 meeting instead of the 12:00?

Lastly - it has been mentioned that a few people can't make Wed. Rides but would like a Tuesday ride - I'm up for both (most of the time).. So thought I'd just put it out there to see who would be interested.

Thanks - hope we can get as good a turn out Wed. & this coming Sunday as last Sunday.

Beginning the ride later on Saunday is fine with me, but Tuesdays are out as I generally have class that night.

Tomorrow's forecast only calls for light rain or snow, wth a high of 40. Should be good to ride.

Guess I'm not meant to ride with the group this week. :cryin:

Something came up that I have to attend. Have a good ride.

Pretty short ride today, it was crazy windy out, but we hit a couple hills.

Next time I need to remember not to bring a knife to a gun fight, I was the only one riding single.

Thanks for the ride!
