To all of you that could not make the Urban Session (not Urban-Assault) Ride last Wed. night.
We rode along the old Miss, in NE Mpls, & around the U of M a bit as well - It was a great night out and we had a pretty damn good ride for being 90% blacktop.
There was 7 of us total, and even the Injured-Ivan showed up at Tuggs after the ride.
The plan is to do the same next Wed. - meet at Tuggs at St. Anthony & Main at 6:15PM.
As for this weekend - a few of us are riding Sunday afternoon.. Thinking maybe around 2:30 - 3 PM? The plan is to meet off of Abbott Ave. right behind Whole Foods.
And to answer some question up front:
Will we still ride if it's raining? -> Yes, unless it down-pouring and it doesn't look like it's going to quit anytime soon. Drizzle - we're there!
Will we do any off rode? --> More than likely not (bummer), but may hit a short path if it's clear from snow/mud.
Will there be a "refreshment stop" during/after? -> It is Uptown, so more than likely after - maybe during.
So far I think 7 - 8 riders interested for Sunday..
Hope to see you all out there at both rides,

So is this a roadie speed ride, or a bunch of mountain bikes craving dirt (and not getting any)?
I just wanted to know before I show up with my "non-road bike" and slow everyone down...

Definitely the latter. Hard/soft, geared/single, just make sure the tires are fat.

Then I started getting thirsty. Real thirsty.
I plan on being there tonight. Sloshfest, here we come.

How was the ride, I was really bummed that I couldn't make it. That damn work thing just gets in the way sometimes.

Pat -
The ride was actually pretty good - I got stuck at work late as well and started riding around 7:?? - totally bummed me out!
Mark, Troy, & a friend of Sean's (who's name I totally forgot - sorry) are the only ones who made it and started on time..
I rode reverse of what we did last time, to try and meet up with them - I did not find them on the route, but we did meet up at the bar after the ride :D
We are talking about trying to do a ride on Sunday - not sure where, Uptown again maybe?

I'm taking a long weekend (leaving within the hour), so I'm out for Sunday. Have Fun!
Sorry I missed ya last night Dirk. I had to bug out a little early. I'll be heading to the north shore for the weekend so have a good ride on Sunday. Last nights ride was a little wet but still a good time! Nice meeting you Chris. . .

I'd be interested in the Sun ride. Any idea of where it's going to be?

Dirk,
Are we doing the Sunday ride? I nice goopfest maybe?
Sorry we missed you last week, but a friend and I brain locked and couldn't find whole foods. We both forgot it was west of the lakes.
So we parked by Sebastian Joes and rode around downtown for about 2 hours. We did find a great loading dock over by tugs that allows for easy entry, nice landing area, and it gets progressivly taller. from about 2' to about 3 1/2. Was fun to play on.
Let me know about sunday and I will be sure to join. I'll even bring some hombrewed refreshments for afterwords if anybody is interested.

It's too bad you missed us, it was a fun ride, but I was hoping for a bit more jib...

James sorry you missed us last weekend - It was a good ride. Def. bring some refreshments for this weekend, I'll bring some as well.
Troy & Pat - bummer you'll miss the ride this weekend..
How about Uptown again - seeing how we rode NE last Wed. and we will be riding there again on Wed. night.
Behind Whole Foods on Abbott Again (Whole foods is right where Hwy 23 & Excelsior blvd meet up (just off Lake Calhoun).
Time: Noon
If it looks like it's dry enough, wouldn't mind a little dirt riding.
Hope to see you all out on Sunday,
