Saturday February 1st will bring us the 7th annual Snowball's Chance in Hell Formula Ice Race and Snowy Dash for Cold Hard Cash.
Get yourself and a disposable bike to Hidden Beach on Cedar Lake in beautiful Minneapolis at 11:00 am and bring a receipt from a local bike shop purchase made within the last week or so as your entry ticket.
The race will be run on a figure 8 course and is a miss-and-out (the last one through on each lap is pulled until one remains). Derbying goodness is not only possible at the crossroads of the 8 - it's downright encouraged.
Don't bring your heartrate monitor, but do bring your lovely self and join the fun. Dress warm and don't get too upset if your wheels get tacoed.
This year will present a special challenge in the traction department. The lakes are like glass and look to remain so. I ain't runnin' studded tires, but it may not be a bad idea. Who knows?
