So, which Minnestrohtan's are heading out CO/UT way the end of April for the Fruita Fat Tire Festival?
Last year we drove out the weekend before and rode in the Front Range, Moab and then Fruita/GJ.
Had a blast.

Hey, you finally got your picture posted for the avitar. Looks good! How long before the stash resembles some monkey bars on your Schwinn?
I was really considering going but I am not sure how my daughter would handle such a long drive plus the cheap ass that I am means I would be camping which doesn't coincide with your plans.
Who all is going? The bad bunch from Duluth maybe going.

I am all set up to go.
I also believe that at least 2 or 3 from Duluth. Kurt and Bunch are going.
Not sure yet on dates, driving arrangements, etc. But I will be there.
I'm in the "how could I swing it?" stage of consideration right now. It'd really be a good time. Like Jason, in the interest of $, I'd probably camp it also.

woops,
I will also most likely be camping. It is just part of the experience.
If I remember correctly Kurt might have a contact for a place to pitch tents in the area. We will have to wait for his comments. I was a little worn out when he mentioned it to me so I forget.
My tough planning is how to load all the gear into the car and still have room for the dog who I am dropping off in Omaha on the way through... Might have to get a rack box. Specially if anyone want to ride with me.

I am a newbie to the area and to the message board and was wondering who this is open too? Do you have to pass a VO2 test to prove fitness or something? How far do you generally ride everyday and do you have an idea of cost? I have always wanted to ride Fruita. I have ridden some all over the world, but I have sampled some riding in Winter and Estes park, and the Springs. From what I have heard Fruita is better than all of those. Thanks for the info.
Hello Mark,
Welcome to the area and to the boards.
I have not made the pilgrammage to Fruita either but have heard great things. Just keep your eye on the thread and I'm sure you could hook up with someone who needs another rider or find a couple of people to head out with you. I'm not sure if I'll be able to go but if I can, I will be doing the same thing -looking for a car to go in, or finding people to ride along with me.

We are just a one car family at the moment, so driving out on my own probably won't happen unless the family comes, but it would be cool to jump in with some folks headed out that way. Thanks
